“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” Jeremiah 31:33

Crown Advises Staying in Business Debt

Howard Dayton on Money Matters, 11/05/07, stated the following in response to a question about business debt, “Do everything you can to create margin, to create monthly surplus, so that you can begin to pay down that debt, even if you start by just paying a little bit extra each month. You want to be real consistent in paying down that debt.” Is this biblical?

No. In fact, it’s not even consistent with their unbiblical philosphy on debt, “borrow as little as possible, and pay it off as quickly as possible.” Dayton went on to personally refer the caller to an “expert” friend of his in the industry to get advise on the debt issue.

So what expert can the rest of us rely on when trying to figure out what do when drowning in business debt? His name is Jesus Christ and His Word is sufficient. He taught us through Paul to “owe no many anything”(Romans 13:8). If you are a business owner in debt, the answer is simple: confess this sin, repent, and look unto Jesus for help.

Your job is to repent. Sell your business and/or personal assets to pay off as much of or all of the debt. How do you eliminate the rest?

Keep reading this blogsite. We’ll teach you God’s way of eliminating debt. And you guessed it. It’s not what Crown recommends.
